Key Shapers of Seattle Glass
This exhibition surveys artists across the Seattle area who spend nearly all their time working in glass. They assist other artists in realizing their visions, design and produce at glassybaby, demonstrate for the public in museums, teach the next generation of students and hobbyists, and advocate for expanding resources for glass art in our region.
Yet beyond their daily work supporting the community, each of these artists cultivates a thoughtful, technically refined, and deeply personal body of work in the margins of their overly-packed days. Their creative practices are sustained by the same persistence and passion they bring to every role they hold in this field.
It is my belief that these artists, and so many like them, who keep the energy of Seattle's glass community alive day after day, deserve the space to share their own work and voices with us.
